
Extinction, the card and die game
- Take ten cards from a pack of 52 cards and form a column
- One six sided die
Repeatedly
- For each card in a column, roll the die
- If 1, 2 or 3 were rolled place the card back in the pack
- If 4, 5 or 6 were rolled move the card to the next column
- If 6 was rolled add another card from the pack to the next column
The mapping from die to the number of cards is approximately the inverse
